How to do a squat with weights for a sexy butt.

So, pretty much same thing as the previous video about how to do a squat, except now we're just adding a little bit more resistance, a little bit more to the squat. So you can do this with the weights in your hands by your sides, same form as the squat, your feet are a little bit wider than shoulder width apart, you come all the way down and your squat sink low, sink those hips all the way back, and then dig through those heels to press it up.

You can start off with the weights like that, or you can bring them onto your shoulders here as well, whichever is more comfortable for you, sink those hips all the way back and push it up. You can do this with whatever weights are comfortable for you.

Usually, you want to start off just with the regular squat. Once you advance and you feel like, you know, you've been doing, you've been squatting and stuff like that, and you can always add weights, so you can start off lighter, then go heavier.

So again, you can keep the weights by your side and just squat straight down and up, or you can place some on your shoulders here, again pressing, squatting down and up. And that's how you do squats with weights for a sexy butt.

How to do a stiff-legged deadlift for a sexy butt. So, your deadlift, you want your feet shoulder width apart. For the stiff-legged deadlift, there's a few variations of the deadlift. For the stiff-legged deadlift, you want to keep your legs relatively straight and pretty much you're just going to reach all the way down, again pushing your hips back, you're going to reach all the way down, touch the floor, or almost touch the floor, and then bring it right back up.

So your form here is really important. You want to keep your shoulders rolled back and your chest up. Your abs are always tight throughout every exercise you do. But when you reach all the way down, you want to make sure, the tendency is to roll that spine under just like this, but you're not going to feel it. You're going to release the tension from those legs, the back of the legs and your butt. So you want to really roll the shoulders back. Keep the chest up. Come straight down. Reach all the way down to the floor and then press it right back up.

So, the focus here is more on the hamstrings, the back of the legs. Also, the butt as you come up. But you're going to feel a deep stretch as you come all the way down in that back of the leg, this hamstring part right here. So, again your shoulders are rolled back. Your chest is up. You're going to come all the way down. Keep those legs relatively straight. Soften the knees slightly, so slight bend in the knee. Bring it all the way down. Reach down and then slowly bring it up. As you come up, you want to also think about pressing through those heels here and squeezing your butt as you come up.

So, take it all the way down and up, digging through those heels, squeezing your butt, almost tucking it under. So, you're going to take it all the way down. Shoulders back. Chest up. And then bring it back up, just like that. All the way down. And squeeze that butt. Tuck it under. And that's how you do a stiff-legged deadlift for a sexy butt.

Yin Yoga At The Wall - Restorative Yin Yoga for Beginners 30 min

This week I'm offering you a 30 minute yin yoga practice that uses the wall as a prop, no other accessories needed! This is a very restorative practice that will help you release tension in the neck and shoulders while increasing flexibility in the hips and hamstrings. Using the wall for support is a great way to minimize the effort required while in the poses so that you can relax, let go and enter a meditative state. Enjoy!

What is Yin Yoga? Yin yoga is often called the Yoga of the joints because unlike other styles of yoga, the emphasis is not on the muscles but on the deep connective tissue. Connective tissue is made up of fascia, ligaments and tendons which surround and form your joints. Yin yoga improves the range of motion in your joints and also strengthens them. The results and benefits are more flexibility and greater range of motion and also more stability within your joints. Although your muscles will also be stretched, that is not the focus of the practice. It is best to practice yin yoga while your muscles are cold and NOT warmed up, even if that sounds counter intuitive. The reason we do this is so that we can send the "stress" and the "Stretch" to the connective tissues. If the muscles are warm they will steal the focus away from the joints.

There are 3 principles of Yin Yoga.
1. Find your edge
2. Be still
3. Hold the pose

Find your edge means respecting your body's limits and not pushing too far and risking injury. Pull back a little bit and as you hold the pose you will be able to go deeper into it without pushing too far or hurting yourself.

Being still means that once you are in the pose it is important to completely relax your muscles so the benefits can get into the connective tissues and joints. Try not to fidget or move or distract yourself, this is a meditative practice. Breathe deeply in and out through the nose.

Holding the pose means that in Yin Yoga a pose can be held for 1-10 minutes depending on the pose performed and on the comfort level of the student. I usually teach poses held for around 4-5 minutes. Learn to surrender and keep a timer close by if needed.

Use as many props as needed in Yin Yoga! Blocks, bolsters and straps are all great ways to support your body to make sure you are respecting your edge and not going too far.
